Ron is the President of Black Diamond Custom Wealth Management, Inc. He began his career in the financial service industry in 1991 with Cigna Financial Advisors. In 1997, Cigna Corporation Individual Life and Annuity Business was purchased by Lincoln National Corporation. Ron continued to develop his practice through Sagemark Consulting™, the planning division of Lincoln Financial Advisors. In 2017, he merged his financial planning practice with Conway Financial Services, an independent planning practice of former broker/dealer, Lincoln Financial Securities. Together they rebranded as Black Diamond Custom Wealth Management. In 2022, Ron became the sole owner of Black Diamond Custom Wealth Management.
Ron is a 1991 graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, NY earning a bachelor's degree in finance. He was awarded his Chartered Financial Consultant ChFC® designation in 2006.
His 31 years of experience as a financial planner embodies the “Serve First” philosophy – which was conceived over 60 years ago by legendary agent and manager Stuart Smith. As part of this philosophy: We provide solutions and alternatives, but each client makes the final decisions about their own financial future.

Ron holds a FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 securities registrations. Ron is a General Agent and licensed in 17 states. He was on the board of Western New York Financial Counselors and a member of the Estate Analysts of Western New York. When not working, you may find Ron alpine skiing, golfing, or traveling with his wife Kandie of 30 years. They have two children: Ashley, a graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Andrew, also a graduate of Clarkson University with a degree in Civil Engineering.
